chinese food & zombies

Joe was up and out of the house early on Thursday morning for his weekly work meeting.  I hate that damn meeting because it means I have to take my own outfit picture and it's never as good as when he does.  So I'm upstairs getting ready for work, wearing a tank top and pants with clips holding my hair while I flat iron and I think I hear a knock on the door.  Who would come to my house before 8am?  I run downstairs and when I look through the peephole I see a police officer!  I fling the door open (obviously forgetting my appearance) and ask if everything is ok.

The cop tells me that the restaurant across the street was robbed last night!  I thought he was going to ask if we saw anything.  But no, he is there to question me because I have a key to the building and there were no signs of forced entry.  I must have seemed sweet and innocent because he didn't stay too long.  But after I gave him my information and told him mine and Joe's whereabouts the day before he left.  I ran upstairs to finish getting ready and then Nicole came over to get the low down.  While I made my breakfast, another bowl of oatmeal with peanut butter and banana, we hypothesized about who could have broken in.  And once I finished packing my lunch, pineapple greek yogurt, Nutri-Grain bar, strawberries and a tangerine we headed our separate ways.  But Nicole was kind enough to take my picture on her way out and I made sure we were still on for our run after work, she assured me we were.

When I got home from work I was excited to see that the order from my Pampered Chef party had been delivered!  I started to go through it but noticed things were missing, turns out there were 3 boxes in the order but they must have gotten separated in transit because only 2 were on my porch.  I gave up on sorting the order and ran upstairs to get changed to run.  Nicole was a little apprehensive about running for 20 minutes straight and already had a plan to walk half way through.  I tried to give her a pep talk because I know she can do it but she had her mind set.  The run went really well, even though she did stop to walk in the middle, I kept jogging anyway so she had to catch up :-)
With Joe's new schedule at the mall he has to work until 9pm sometimes which means I'm really on my own for dinner.  Since Lou was out at the casino with his aunt Nicole and I decided to order chinese for dinner.  My favorite!
Thanks to our run I already had my steps so I just lounged on the couch most of the evening.  When Joe got home I cleaned the kitchen and unloaded the dishwasher while he ate.  We watched a little tv, Revenge and Walking Dead, I stayed up later then I should but for some reason that zombie show just sucked me in.
