Salvation Army Christmas In July 5K

1. Eat out less then 20 meals:  We didn't behave any better on Saturday, we had breakfast & dinner out again!  14 total meals out.
At least we're not wasting these meals on sub par food.  I loved each & every bite!
2. At least 25 days with a 750+ calorie burn:
Breakfast: whole wheat pancakes w/sugar free syrup = 322 calories
     Lunch: 0 calories
Dinner: cheese pizza = 475 calories
Snacks: 1/2 banana, an apple, a popsicle, skittles & twizzlers = 657 calories
     Totals: 2398 burned - 1454 eaten = -944 total burned, 10 days total.
3. Complete 1250 fitness minutes:  Sunday was The Salvation Army Christmas in July 5K.  The VP of my department is on the planning committee and mentioned it to me a while back.  There was no way I was missing this one!  I even managed to talk Joe, Mark, Kat & Angela into joining me.  418 minutes total.
They had Santa there to pose for pictures!
The race was the same as any other boardwalk run; 1.5 miles down then turn around and come straight back.  The weather was really nice but the wind was blowing in our faces the whole way down, Joe even commented how nice it would be to have it at our backs on the return trip.  But when we turned around it just dropped off completely and it was so hot!  Totally not fair!
I was the last person to finish in my group of friends with a time of 31:15, not a personal best but close.  I was only about 1 minute behind them, I really need to start working on my speed.  I'm running another 5K in 2 weeks with my sister and she's usually very good at motivating me so hopefully I'll be able to get a better time.  The boys had bid on a few items in the silent auction so we had to hang out through the medal portion.  Imagine my surprise when they were announcing the women's 30-34 age group and I got 3rd place!  I literally could not believe it, I was shocked!  Here I was feeling down because I was the last of my crew and I was the only one to place!
Joe & Mark were big winners in the silent auction too!  Mark won a 6 month membership to Tilton Fitness for $95 and Joe won a 5 hour boat rental for $65.  He's going to need a few more weekends off because we've got a lot to squeeze in to the rest of the summer!
4. Walk at least 10,000 steps for 25 days:  I knocked my steps out of the park!  I had 7000 before we even ate breakfast.  Then I went for a walk on the beach with Kat & her mom which put me up around 13000.  Plus Joe & I walked to the pizza place to pick up dinner.  Isn't it crazy how sometimes I'm struggling for the minimum and others I have way more then I need?  19041 steps.  13 days total.
5. At least 20 days with 30 minutes of house work:  The house was a disaster with all the running around we were doing so after dinner we tried to clean things up a little.  Mostly we just cleaned the kitchen and dragged stuff upstairs from the living room.  We were so exhausted we were asleep by 9pm!  11 days total.
