September 2nd

Oh my god you guys, I am a total disaster!  Seriously I'm so disgusted with myself lately.  I know I have a lot of ground to cover since I haven't blogged Friday - Tuesday yet and it was a total shit show.  I don't know what it going on with me, it's like I've lost my mojo or something.  I've been eating crap and lots of it.  Plus I'm barely working out.  I haven't put any weight back on but I just feel looser (is that a word?).  I need to do something about it stat!  I'm planning on going to the gym tonight and Friday plus with the weather cooling off I'm hoping to get out and running more...cross your fingers for me...

It's almost hard to remember all the way back to Friday but luckily I take a lot of pictures and track my food on my phone so I can give you the important parts!  I started the day by having some oatmeal with a banana, almond milk and brown sugar for breakfast (315 calories).  I was crazy excited to be finished with my week, I had somehow managed to catch up on all of my work and was looking forward to the long weekend.  I was so excited that I somehow forgot to pick up a cake for my co-worker's birthday!  Luckily Anne had to run an errand and offered to grab one for me.  Our department was also being rewarded with an ice cream sundae "party" to thank everyone for keeping calm during the earthquake, hurricane and health department visit the previous week (when I was out of town, lol).  Why can't they do a fresh fruit party?!?
Needless to say I passed on my brown bag lunch and went with cake and ice cream instead (533 calories).  I wasn't worried though because I was planning to go to the gym after work for a 2 mile run and group power class.
But of course there was a change of plans.  My friend Lorie invited us out in Atlantic City and I don't see her very often now that she has a baby so I jumped at the chance to meet up with her.  Unfortunately it meant I wouldn't have time to run and take the class.  I decided to up it to a 3 mile run instead which would still give me time to get home and shower before heading out for the night.  I went straight to the gym from work and hopped on the treadmill but after a few minutes I could tell something was off.  My heart was racing and I just couldn't catch my breath.  I slowed to a walk but upped the incline for the first mile and once I felt better started running again.  I had planned on getting 3 miles done in a half hour but didn't quite make it.  I felt fine afterward, I'm guessing it was all that sugar at lunch that made me jittery.  Hopefully I won't make that mistake again.
I was absolutely starving when I got home from the gym so I made a quick turkey and swiss cheese sandwich with some popchips (354 calories) then ate it all while pacing the living room.
I took a quick shower, got dressed and before I knew it Joe was home from work and we were out the door.  We were a little concerned that traffic would be bad going into the city since it was labor day weekend but crossed our fingers that it would be light since it was only about 7:30pm.  We were in luck and the roads were pretty clear!  We met our friends at the beach bar and were surprised to find it empty as well.  I didn't mind though, I'm not much of a party animal so the less noise and people the better!  I was pretty proud to be wearing a tube top for the first time in my entire life with my new lucky jeans so I took a picture in the casino bathroom mirror.
The drink special was $2 three olives berry drinks, perfect for me!  I had three (193 calories) over the couple of hours we hung out.

Joe hadn't eaten anything for dinner so once Lorie headed home to take care of the baby we wandered the boardwalk in search of food.  It wasn't long before we came to Johnny Rockets and decided to stop.
Joe ordered a burger and chocolate malt.  I wasn't hungry but figured I would join him for a small snack.  I ordered a chocolate peanut butter shake and onion rings.  I was about half way through each when I decided to log them in my phone.  I immediately stopped eating and passed the rest of my food/drink to Joe, eating 1/2 of my small snack had just cost me 880 calories!
I was so disappointed in myself!  Joe tried to cheer me up by joking about how much he had eaten.  I pulled myself back up, after all we had a really nice night out together, no need to ruin it all over a few calories, right?  I just resigned to doing better then rest of the weekend then we headed for home and straight to bed.
