CARAMEL CORN!

This one is going to be short & sweet.  I have a lot of pictures from Jack's 1st birthday party on Sunday so this post will be super light on pictures compared to what I have coming next.  Our early bed time/food coma from Friday night equalled some great sleeping for Saturday.  I was up and out of bed without a problem, went downstairs cooked breakfast and went to work without any whining.  I made a sandwich and brought it over to the restaurant with me = 299 calories.
The restaurant was pretty slow and I was home by 11:30 with $60 to show for it.  I had plans to run with Angela after she was done getting her hair cut so I killed some time watching tv & catching up on computer stuff I don't have time to do during the week.  I was a little hungry but not in the mood to cook myself anything so I had some caramel corn  = 122 calories.
Angela & I went for our run around 2pm; we were excited because the sun was shining and the conditions seemed a lot better then on Thursday night.  Well, it was definitely one for the record books and not necessarily in a good way.  We drove to the bike path because some of the sidewalks aren't quite clear yet and parked at a school.  As we were running we were both complaining a little bit about not feeling like running but just getting it done.  I checked our time at about 1.25 miles and noticed we were really moving, then the pieces started to fall into place, the wind was blowing hard at our backs, we were out of breath because we were going much faster then usual.  Normally this would be a great thing but it also meant that on the way back this wind would be blowing in our faces...  As we turned around it was immediately obvious this was not going to be a fun trip back to the car.  After about a quarter of a mile my eyes were watering and I really couldn't see.  Then my ankle started to ache.  Finally we hit a patch of icy path and had to walk.  It was just too hard to run against the wind especially with my eyes closed.  We tried to run as much as possible but pretty much walked the last mile back to the car.  When we finally stopped I checked our stats and was shocked, we had done the 3 miles in 35 minutes!  Considering we walked at least a mile of it we really had to be moving the rest of the time to get done so quickly!  We stopped at the house to use the bathroom & freshen up then went out in search of food.  We decided on subs from Vic's; I ate 1/2 of what's pictured, a tuna with cheese with tomato = 552 calories.
I spent the rest of the afternoon doing laundry & messing around on the computer, oh and eating more caramel corn = 122 calories.
If you read my post from Saturday night you know I was trying to decide if I should go out or not.  Well I did decide to go out.  Although I learned a very important bit of information with this decision, all of my going out in AC clothes are too big.  I must have changed 4 times before resting on a cowl neck sweater and jeggings with black knee high boots.  This outfit was totally appropriate for the bar we went to or any of the others we frequent around Somers Point & EHT but it wouldn't have worked if I had ended up meeting Shana & Kelli at the casino.  I guess I'll have to keep my eye out for sales of fancier less work appropriate clothes.  Anyway, back to the party, neither Joe or I had eaten dinner so we ordered some food at the bar.  I ate half of this white pizza with crab meat and one of the buffalo tenders (they were too spicy for me) = 509 calories.  All I drank was water, go me (although I may have had more fun with a drink or 2)!

Joe & Tim had tickets to a comedy show at the Borgata so we said good night to everyone around 10.  I dropped them off at the casino and headed home, chatting with Nicole about Jack's party preparations on the way.  I was home by 11 and watched a little Biggest Loser on the DVR while eating more caramel corn = 122 calories.
Thankfully the tub was finally empty enough that I didn't feel guilty throwing the rest of the broken pieces away.  Now the caramel corn can tempt me no more!

How did I do on my January goals?
1. drink 64oz of water every day: check, every day total
2. track all my food & burn at least 500 calories a day for at least 25 days: 2368 burned - 1727 eaten = 641 total burned, 11 days total
3. 1000 fitness minutes, not allowed to count walking at the restaurant: 35 minutes today, 462 total for month
4. run 20 miles: 3 today, 18.6 total
5. 15 spend free days - bought my sandwich at lunch, 6 days total
