boy do I need a raincoat

Tuesday was the kind of day you just want to stay in bed.  The weathermen were calling for a 100% chance of rain and of course I had a 4 mile run scheduled.  I pried myself out of bed packed a gym bag of indoor running clothes and got my butt in gear.  I picked out this OOTD and just went with it.  I wore a purple cable knit sweater from NY & Co with grey dress pants from The Limited, grey mary janes from Naturalizer and a necklace from a Premier party.  The only real issue was when it was time to leave.  For some reason I had 2 raincoats in the closest but neither of them have a hood (I guess adults use umbrellas?), nonetheless I tried them on and learned they're both too big (anyone need a size large pink raincoat or size medium orange raincoat?).  I ended up just running to the car sans jacket...
I went downstairs to pack my lunch and make breakfast but was surprised to see we were out of milk.  No oatmeal for me :-(  Joe kindly offered to make my an omelet instead.  I had a glass of Trop 50, two eggs, two slices of precooked bacon, one slice of tomato and a laughing cow wedge = 334 calories.
Lunch time at work was a little wacky.  We have an intern that comes in twice a week but she doesn't have her own desk so she has to find a spot where ever someone is out sick or in a meeting.  Well on Tuesday everyone was around so she didn't have a computer to use.  They finally found a spot for her in my office while Brittany was on a conference call but the call didn't last long so when Brittany came back she was out of a seat.  Since it was about 1pm we decided to just have lunch (311 calories) across the hall to kill time until she was done.
I snacked on my cadbury mini eggs throughout the day.  I get 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon = 95 calories of delicious chocolate goodness.
I still had that 4 mile run to do with Angela after work and even though the rain let up and the sun came out it was super windy.  Once I saw that on the weather report and almost gone blown away walking to my car I declared it a treadmill day.  Let me tell you it was a miserable run.  It was crazy hot in the gym and neither of us were really feeling motivated to begin with, we even took turns taking walking breaks and considered throwing in the towel.  I'm still pretty impressed with my time though, I made sure to run on a 5.7 and walk on a 4 so I was still moving pretty quickly.
Joe beat me home but was more concerned with prepping the backyard for his dirt delivery on Wednesday then cooking dinner.  When I got home from the gym I was starving and we didn't know what we were going to eat.  After a few minutes of "what do you want? I don't know, what do you want?" we settled on ordering in chinese.  I decided to switch it up a little and had shrimp with broccoli instead of chicken plus my regular favorites (cheese wontons & egg roll) = 751 calories.
Nicole & Jack stopped by right after we finished dinner.  We all hung out drinking sangria (I passed because my dinner was a little high in calories) and watching the Flyers & Phillies (Joe mostly watched them but we didn't complain).  Mostly we just gossiped about our days and played WORDS with friends.  They headed home around 9 when Jack started to get fussy and I went upstairs to fold the mound of laundry on the bed so we could get to sleep at a decent hour.  Joe came up a little while later and we attempted to watch some CSI but I was out before the first commercial break.

How did I do on my March goals?
1. De-clutter something: it doesn't help that I always forget this until I go to write my blog...
2. Burn at least 750 calories a day for at least 25 days: 2446 burned - 1491 eaten = 955 burned, 4 days total
3. Yard work w/Joe: Joe was done in the yard before I got home...
4. Less then 20 meals out:  order chinese for dinner, 3 down 17 more to go...
5. Ebay/Craigslist: nope

  1. Let me know if you find a raincoat with a hood because I'll then be buying the same one. LOL!
