Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about. ~ OW

I'm not really sure how to start this today.  I don't have anything exciting or aggravating going on, I'm in a pretty good mood.  I'm excited to get my hair fixed after work and Joe & I are thinking about going to dinner and a movie when we finish at the salon.  Today really has the possibility of being a great day.  Let's hope I didn't just jinx it.

I started off Monday morning with a renewed sense of health.  I was going to eat healthier, I know it's my eating habits that have stopped my weight loss.  In January I decided I only needed to burn 500 calories a day so I started snacking more.  Well, obviously a 500 calorie burn doesn't work, it's time to buckle down and behave myself again.  I started the morning with a breakfast sandwich & the last of my Trop 50 = 345 calories.
My morning went by pretty quickly.  The builders put up a wall over the weekend seperating our office into two sections, phase 1 which is being completed now & phase 2 where we are all sitting now which will be completed in the next few months.  It's made everything seem a lot smaller, there really isn't anywhere for us all to go to get away from each other.  Hopefully, we'll keep getting along as well as we are now...
I ran to WaWa for lunch and used a gift card to get a turkey BLT salad with honey dijon dressing = 330 calories.  It was pretty tasty and bigger then I thought, it took me almost the entire half hour to finish it.  My afternoon was a little stressful, I seem to have less actual paperwork to process but more projects to handle lately.  It was freaking me out a little bit because some of the tasks are new to me and I'm not always sure where to start.  Thankfully our contracts manager has been extremely helpful & patient putting up with my constant questions & thoughts.  I started to feel a little run down in the afternoon and was craving some sugar.  I had some of the pomegranate fruit marvels left over from that vendor basket = 140 calories.
My workout schedule for the week is dictating a 4 mile run on Monday, 3 miles on Wednesday, kick on Thursday, a 3 mile run of Friday & a 7 mile run on Sunday.  After the slight knee pain from my 6 mile run on Sunday I was a little nervous to do the 4 miles on Monday.  I told Angela I would let her know how I was feeling in the afternoon so I of course spent the majority of my morning debating what to do.  My knee was feeling pretty good, nothing more then like a sore muscle from power so I decided to give it a try.  I had the same issue with my ankle last month and it just went away eventually.  We could always run slowly or walk if need be.  Plus the weather was absolutely gorgeous again, 47 & partly sunny so it would have been a shame to skip it.  We made plans to meet up at my house around 5:30 and give it a shot.  I had a few peanut butter filled pretzels while I got ready = 70 calories.
Our run went really well!  We did the 4 miles in 45 minutes and 22 seconds, 2.5 minutes faster then our last run at that distance!  My knee didn't bother me at all until we stopped running, it started to ache as we walked back to the house so we made sure to stretch really well once we got inside.  Angela didn't stay and visit very long because Rob was at home cooking her dinner.  Joe was going to be home pretty soon but I was hungry so I made myself a sandwich from the superbowl leftovers.  It was a little messy but SO good, seriously I'm craving one right now!  I toasted one of the rolls with some cheddar cheese then added a serving of pulled chicken = 407 calories.
Joe walked in the door just as I was finishing up my sandwich and decided to have one as well (plus some pizza I think).  My knee was starting to bother me a little more, it was kind of tight and it hurt to move but was fine sitting still.  Joe was being nice and letting me watch Glee when my phone rang and Nicole said she needed us to come over because Jack's hand was stuck in the subwoofer!  I jumped up and told Joe what was going on, he went straight to the closet then the kitchen, I asked what he was doing and he said he was looking for something to grease his hand with.  I left him there and hobbled over to see what was going on but by the time I got there he was free.  Joe came in a few seconds later with a can of WD-40, lol.  Turns out Jack had a toy in his hand that he refused to let go of and his hand wouldn't come out while it was in a fist.  We stayed a little while longer playing with tools while Joe fixed the handle on their couch then decided to head home.  My knee was really bothering me at this point (I was pretty much limping), Joe almost picked me up and carried me.  I could tell he was really worried but I kept assuring him it's just a sore muscle.  I don't know if it makes sense but it's like the inner workings of my knee don't hurt...
When we got home I took 2 ibproferen and sat under my electric blanket while we finished Glee & watched the new How I Met Your Mother.  We were in bed by 9:30 and I was definitely asleep by 10.

How did I do on my February goals?
1. Read 2 books: Didn't read anything...
2. Burn at least 750 calories a day for at least 20 days: 2410 burned - 1292 eaten = 1118 total burned, 5 days total
3. 1000 fitness minutes, not allowed to count walking at the restaurant: 65 minutes today, 410 total for month
4. Eat 1 fruit or veggie with each meal for at least 20 days: nothing w/breakfast, salad for lunch & nothing w/dinner, 2 days total
5. 10 spend free days - wawa gift card covered lunch, 3 days total
