I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet. ~SATC

I was on my own again Thursday morning.  Joe was up and out the door before I even got in the shower, it was iPhone launch day at Verizon and they were expecting big crowds.  I must have changed clothes 4 times before I finally settled on an outfit & went downstairs for breakfast.  I really don't know why I can't seem to be happy with anything I put on lately, I get as far as putting my shoes on & then decide my sweater looks funny and change everything, it's getting a little ridiculous.  Anyway, once I was finally happy enough with what I was wearing I went downstairs and had a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Crunch with a banana = 346 calories.
Work has been going really well for me lately!  I'm happy with what I'm doing & feel like I'm making strides towards being a more valuable member of the team.  It's a good to feel like I've made a difference even if it's just saving $7 a case on some labels.  I was starving by lunch time but "emergencies" kept popping up keeping me from getting the refrigerator, it only took a few minutes but it felt like hours to my growling stomach.  I tried the blueberry greek yogurt & enjoyed it, I think the strawberry's better but not so much that I won't eat the blueberry.  Lunch = 360 calories.
By mid afternoon I was really getting hungry again and I hadn't packed any clementines.  I was really trying not to eat cookies or candy but my willpower was fading fast.  I found some roasted peanuts in my cabinet and figured those should be better then a cookie = 170 calories.
After work it was time for cardio kick with Mary Jo.  I found out someone had complained that the class was geared towards an "older" crowd.  If this class is for an older crowd then give me my social security benefits & AARP card because it kicks my butt every time!  We're guessing whoever called to complain is a fan of the instructor Angela from before and was just trying to get her back (even though she doesn't want the Thursday night slot anymore).  The class is really similar to Tae Bo, we don't use gloves or anything but she says she's going to try to work them in soon!  Maybe I'll even go get my own pink pair?!?
I had plans to meet Nicole & Jack at Chido Burrito after class because Joe and Lou weren't coming home for dinner.  I didn't see her car when I pulled in so I sat in the car and talked to Lorie on the phone.  A few minutes later I got this picture message:
I guess I somehow missed Nicole's car and Jack was excited to see me inside!  I ordered my usual delicious burrito = 789 calories.  It was really nice to get out without the boys, well the big boys, lol.  Shockingly Jack's a fan of churros, can you imagine, the kid likes fried dough coated in sugar?
I did a little shopping online when I got home.  I'd been getting a lot of emails all day with great coupon codes and since I'd already purchased dinner I definitely wasn't having a spend free day.  I got these flats at Naturalizer for $23.99, I'm excited to get rid of my old silver flats, they're a lighter shade and more of a summer shoe, I think these will work better year round.
Now that I am officially a size 10 pant I wanted to make sure I had all the standard colors covered.  I got navy, tan & gray from The Limited last week so I decided to give these black skinny pants from The Gap a shot, now I can wear high boots with my pants tucked in during the week!  They were originally $50 but I had 20% off and $20 in rewards bucks so they we're only $20.
Finally I had an email from NY&C for $20 off $50.  I usually prefer to shop in their store because sometimes the quality isn't great but Joe was out with a friend from work so I had plenty of free time to look around.  I figured it couldn't hurt to click through the sale items, I needed a few shells anyway because my size larges are getting to be too long & boxy.  I picked up 2 of those on a buy one get one 1/2 off sale and this sweater.  I'm a sucker for anything with fake layering.  I love the look but hate how bulky I feel so these tops are perfect!  I paid just over $50 for all 3, not bad.
Luckily Joe got home soon after that so I put the computer away.  He had had a long day, even though it wasn't too busy, I guess a lot of people pre-ordered their iPhones...we went up to bed pretty much immediately but I stayed up until about 11 watching CSI.

How did I do on my February goals?
1. Read 2 books: I read for about a 1/2 hour before going into the gym.
2. Burn at least 750 calories a day for at least 20 days: 2710 burned - 1665 eaten = 1045 burned, 7 days total
3. 1000 fitness minutes, not allowed to count walking at the restaurant: 60 minutes today, 510 total for month
4. Eat 1 fruit or veggie with each meal for at least 20 days: banana w/breakfast, fruit cup w/lunch, lettuce, tomato & corn w/dinner, 4 days total
5. 10 spend free days - dinner & clothes, 3 days total

  1. I bought a pair of weighted gloves at Ross for $4. They are only 3/4 of a pound each but lemme tell you, those things get heavy when you are swinging your arms around in the air for an hour! Next time I am out at Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx, I will see if I can find you a pair. I know they had several. They would be great for kick! (and not as obvious as actual boxing gloves)
