11/23 - Day 2

You know, these entries are pretty hard to start.  I've been sitting here for a half hour trying to figure out what to say as an opening...so...I guess I don't have anything clever.  I do have some great news!  I'm running a 5K at 8:30am on Thanksgiving (this will be my first) and all the weatherman has been saying is that it's going to be nasty out and a good day to stay inside.  Suffice it to say I was not thrilled.  I've been checking the weather like a maniac & this is what I finally saw...50 degrees & cloudy with a 20% chance of rain!  YAY!

I managed to wake up on time although I really would have enjoyed another 40 minutes.  I must have changed my shirt 4 times before 7:45.  Because I've lost 25 lbs a lot of my clothes don't hang right anymore.  Anyway, I had my standard breakfast sandwich (306 calories) again this morning which means there aren't any fruit/veggie servings :-(.  (this blogger is driving me crazy!  see how the first 2 lines REFUSE to left justify)

I had a cup of chocolate glazed donut coffee with 2 splenda, delicious.  Before I knew it we were ready for lunch.  I had my usual = 282 calories.
Just like clockwork I was hungry at 3pm.  Time for a clementine (35 calories) and another cup of water, I think this was my 3rd refill of the day.
The plan was to complete my couch to 5K program with Joe after work but I got a text from Angela asking what I was up to.  I could tell she was looking to get out of the house, so I invited her to come run/eat with us.  It was nice to have her there when I completed the program since she was the one behind my starting the whole thing.  Also, she got me a present!  I love presents!  It's an underarmor t-shirt with a quote about pace on it.  I totally forgot to take a picture, I really need to get on top of this blogging thing.  I'll try to take one tonight or maybe I'll wear it for the race on Thanksgiving.  The funniest part was that the 3 of us ended up matching in blue long sleeve shirts & black pants (again, should have taken a picture).  Our run wasn't fantastic, about a 12 min per mile pace.  It was really warm out for a November evening though and I was super sweaty, maybe that slowed us down...  After the run we changed clothes and walked over to Applebee's for dinner.  I love that all their nutrition information is listed, it makes choosing so much easier.  I was wild and strayed from the weight watchers/under 550 calorie menus & got this chicken fajita roll-up with french fries = 1042 calories!
Of course not trip to Applebee's is complete without a stop at Starbucks!  I got a tall skinny cinnamon dolce latte = 90 calories.
Daily wrap up:
1. completed 45 fitness minutes (walk to the bike path, 30 min run, walk back home)
2. 2 servings of fruits/veggies
3. 64 ounces of water...check
4. Tracking: 2504 calories burned - 1755 calories eaten = total 749 calories burned
5. I didn't do anything overly relaxing.
6. No weigh in until Friday (although I did jump on the scale & I'm up an lb, stupid french fries)
